Campaign Story

Family has always been at the center of our lives. I am incredibly grateful to be a stepmom to two amazing children — my boyfriend’s beautiful kids — who bring so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives. Being part of their world has been one of the most meaningful roles I’ve ever had. Being part of their lives has been one of the greatest gifts we’ve ever received.

At the same time, we have felt a deep longing to grow our family together.

Our journey has not been easy. We have experienced two heartbreaking losses — one miscarriage and one baby we lost after birth. Losing a pregnancy brought deep grief. Losing a baby after birth changed us in ways words can’t fully capture. We held our child. We loved our child. And we will always carry both of our babies in our hearts. Those babies will forever be part of our story.

After facing continued challenges with infertility and pregnancy loss, we learned that IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is our only way to have a baby and our best chance at bringing home a healthy child. While we are grateful that this option exists, the financial cost is significant and not something we can manage alone.

IVF involves extensive testing, medications, monitoring appointments, procedures, and often more than one cycle. It is physically demanding, emotionally exhausting, and financially overwhelming. But our desire to grow our family together has only grown stronger.

Creating this fundraiser was not an easy decision. Asking for help feels vulnerable. But we also know that we are surrounded by people who care about us and who may want to be part of this journey.
